On August 29th, Ava, Genevieve, Mateo, Aaron, & Rohan attended the Building Bridges event, an event about connecting people through their skills and culture. Our team enjoyed food, drinks, and purchased items from numerous other vendors and experienced many types of arts from varying reaches of the world.
The event hosted talented performers, which included Irish Dancing, Traditional Chinese Dancing, a puppet parade, musicians, and more. While enjoying ourselves with interactions from others, we were able to spread information about FIRST, our team, and what we accomplished.
We set up entertaining robotics education systems like Indi Spheros at the front of our stand, and attracted much attention from the excited shouts of kids from all ages experiencing a robotics challenge. I also experienced a deep amount of connection with my team through this event as well. Because we all enjoy talking about robots to our community, we definitely strengthened our friendship & connections through this event. It would be a privilege to have the opportunity to attend again!
