Astrobotic Tech Industry Visit

On August 18th, members from Team TeraBridges had the wonderful opportunity to tour the facility of Astrobotic, a major aerospace and lunar logistics company headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. Toured by Senior System Engineer Chris Manderino, TeraBridges members were taken throughout several displays and workspaces at the company.

Beginning with the Moonshot Museum, TeraBridges’ guided tour covered the intricacies of space travel and the necessary technical elements to achieve this task through a museum experience, including scaled-down recreations of previously designed spacecraft by Astrobotic.

Following the museum, we got a behind-the-scenes look into Astrobotic’s workspaces. Our team walked through the daily operations of the facility, getting a firsthand look at the office spaces, conference rooms, and the build areas where lunar hardware is assembled. Throughout the tour, Chris Manderino answered questions from the team, offering real-world insights into the engineering process. To wrap up the visit, we gathered back in the conference room for a dedicated Q&A session, providing our members with the chance to ask any final questions.

Team TeraBridges is incredibly grateful to Astrobotic and Chris Manderino for welcoming us into their facility and sharing their time, expertise, and passion with us. Experiences like this are priceless, providing our members with a tangible connection between how the robotics we love can be applied in real-world scenarios. Thank you, Astrobotic, for an unforgettable visit!
