We’re incredibly excited to see our advocacy turn into new opportunities for students across Western PA!
TeraBridges students wrote and submitted the winning proposal through PA FIRST to establish a $90,000 funding for Greater Pittsburgh FIRST Robotics Grant Initiative, funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, while advocating for greater access to FIRST Robotics across Western PA. We’re grateful to Rep. Natalie Mihalek for championing this initiative and helping turn that vision into program reality.
We started by asking, “How can we help more students experience FIRST?”
This Greater Pittsburgh FIRST Robotics grant will help new FIRST teams get started across Western PA—giving more students the chance to build, compete, lead, and discover what they can do through FIRST programs.
